Rome Airport: Getting Out From Rome Airports.
Monday, August 23rd, 2010Transportation to and from the main airport, Leonardo da Vinci, commonly known as Fiumicino, about 30 miles southwest of the center is very simple. But to and from Ciampino airport, 20 miles south of downtown Rome is not so simple, it's time and uncomfortable public transport and buses run infrequently, finish early and not well served by subway trains. Many Italian cities have international airports, but Leonardo da Vinci of Rome is the most popular and is a hub for flights between Europe and the Middle East and Africa.
